Andrew Bianco is the creator & designer of inner north piano bar, Ragtime Tavern. An innovative supporter of the arts; creating spaces like Ragtime Tavern and his earlier venue, The Thornbury Local, Andrew has a lengthy and dedicated history of developing and upholding the arts community in Darebin.
Outside of his ongoing artistic innovation, Andrew is busy creating content, having written and had published The Mud Brick Adventure – a definitive guide on how to build a mud brick house. A series of other screenplays are also currently in development.
Recently Andrew was behind the Ragtime Tavern Spinning Baby Grand Initiative (RTSBGI) and Live On The Spinning Baby grand funded by Creative Victoria. Both initiatives supported local piano players and other instrumentalists, allowing them to help recover from the adverse effects of Covid.
Whatever spare time left is spent working on screen plays and experimenting with concept design, building set props, and filming shorts to better understand characters, screen writing and how they might present on film and as graphic novels. Despite a trove of creative outlets, Andrew’s passion is to write a story that steps out of the realm of everyday life – not that different to his other creations on a business level that allow people to step out of their every day lives and experience the raw expression of creativity in the arts.
